O Lord my God! When I in awesome wonder consider all the worlds thy hands have made,

I see the stars, I hear the rolling, thunder, Thy power throughout the universe displayed,

When through the woods and forest glades I wander And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees;

When I look down from loftily mountain grandeur And hear the brook and feel the gentle breeze;

And when I think that God, His Son not sparing Sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in;

That on the cross my burden gladly bearing, He bled and died to take away my sin;
